Arash Aminian, M.D. Fellowship Trained Foot & Ankle Specialist
Dr. Aminian specializes in the care of and treatment of foot and ankle disorders. He is originally from Chicago. He completed his undergraduate studies at Washington University, St. Louis earning a Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering; then pursued medical school at the University of Rochester, Rochester NY; and internship and orthopedics residency at Northwestern University, Chicago. He served as the Chief resident his senior year of residency.
He completed his fellowship training in orthopedics foot and ankle surgery at the University of Washington, Seattle with Drs. Hansen, Sangeorzan, and Benirschke.
During his training, Dr. Aminian has published many research articles in peer reviewed journals and has presented his work both nationally and internationally. He serves as a peer reviewer for the American Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. He continues to be active academically and is the Assistant Chief of the Foot and Ankle Service at Harbor UCLA, training orthopedic surgery residents and fellows.
Dr. Aminian specializes in treating foot and ankle conditions created by sports injuries, fractures, arthritis, or deformity. His experiences include bunion and forefoot surgery, total ankle replacements, tendon and cartilage repair, minimally invasive/arthroscopic ankle surgery, as well as lower extremity reconstruction. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society.
Dr. Aminian believes in personalized care of patients’ conditions and treatment options and strives to provide the best experience under his care.
Dr. Aminian is seeing patients in both the Irvine and Laguna Woods offices.
